Join Certified Sex Educators and parents, Casia Sobolewski & Cosmo Meens, into a conversation on raising pleasure-positive kiddos. Using the terminology "Wholistic Pleasure" as a framework to re-imagine pleasure as a nourishing and grounding resource for ourselves and our children, a part of the whole system.
Adequate sex education continues to be an ongoing missed opportunity for so many, from kids, to teens, to adults. Living in erotophobic communities, it can feel challenging to be faced with our children's budding relationship to themselves, their bodies, their genders, and their feelings. We may even be faced with our own insecurities, shame, or misaligned messaging, and how do we allow space for ourselves to notice these elements without passing them to our children.
Casia and Cosmo will share their unique perspectives as professional sex educators about how they navigate toddlerhood to teenhood and the spaces in between. They will offer support for creating a "Family Values" system, for navigating age-appropriate sex education moments, and integrating applicable information without making it about sexuality.
Their hope is to open the conversation and create generative connections that allow for parents to understand development, bodies, and pleasure. Leading with the question: What do you hope for your young person/people in their future of joy, relationships, and pleasure, and what are the ways you can support them in that?
